The Phillips Group, central Pennsylvania’s leading independent office products company, recently donated $30,000 to Harrisburg Area Community College.
The gift was earmarked for the Opportunity & Access Scholarship Endowment, which will provide scholarships to students enrolled in programs at the college’s Midtown II site.
Located in the former Evangelical Press building at Third and Reilly streets in Harrisburg, Midtown II houses the college’s technical and trade programs.
“As a regional leader, The Phillips Group is providing educational support for its future workforce for years to come through its support of this scholarship endowment,” said Nancy Rockey, HACC’s vice president of college and community development. In recognition of the gift, the college named a classroom for The Phillips Group.
